Apple Is Now the #1 US Music Retailer
Scott Wilder | April 10, 2008Tutorial: Changing Your Dock!
Chad Gilchrist | March 22, 2008Many people don’t like the new Leopard dock compared to the old 10.4 dock. Well, now you can change the appearance of your dock thanks to sites like LeopardDocks.net, and LeopardDocks.com. Its very simple! There are two ways to do this, a simple version where you can download an App, or do it by hand. When it comes to this stuff, I don’t trust myself so I use the LeopardDocks App, a freeware product designed to change the look of your dock (available for download here). Next step is to find a dock you like at either of the sites and download it. We are going to use “Piano” by Truman for this example. Now that you have it downloaded, un-zip it by double clicking on it.

Now lets make a new folder in your documents called “Docks.” Then you can dump the un-zipped folder in there.

Now open the LeopardDock App you installed earlier.
Now we choose the folder of the dock.
Now we select ‘Choose’ and continue on to ‘Change Dock.’ After you put in your password your golden.
If you ever want to change your Dock back to normal simply download the original dock and change it. It is found here.
In case you were wondering, the App gets the job done, but is still not that great,

App. of the Week: Google Desktop
Chad Gilchrist | March 21, 2008
Although spotlight is very useful I have been finding myself use Google Desktop quite frequently along with the whole Google Mac apps. This program is very simple just open it, and search. When you open it, it will show as open in your dock, but won’t appear anywhere unless you double-click the command button (the apple logo key). This along with the google widgets, and Gmail notification apps are so useful and easy. Don’t just take my word for it, download it now for free!
I highly recommend it!

CamTwist Updated to 1.7
Scott Wilder | March 13, 2008
One area where Apple is strongest is integrating powerful technology into their computers early and setting the standard.
An early example is the Firewire port. For macs, connecting a Camcorder is as simple as plug and play. Many camcorders still require drivers in Windows.
One of my favorite additions to Apple’s notebooks has been the integration of isight right into the computer.
CamTwist is a great app that takes the video from your video source, overlays all sorts of special effects, text, grachics and such, and then pipes it out to your video app of choice.
I find this especially useful when I’m livestreaming on UStream.tv. Using CamTwist; I can overlay a clock, text, or even do picture in picture if I have another camera, picture file or a movie file.
For anyone doing video on a mac; CamTwist is something you should download now!
iPhone Devolper Tools
Chad Gilchrist | March 10, 2008I have downloaded the iPhone Devolper Tools, and been playing around on it. There are many things that I have started to notice that shows some future change in the iPhone. For instance, in the contacts there is a search button that looks just like the magnifying glass from Spotlight. Here is another that I hope will come true:

Can it be that the iPhone will finally be released onto all services?
Best Way to export .mov to MS Windows?
Scott Wilder | March 6, 2008In our church we have a PC running Windows 2003 Server. It runs our easyworship software. We try very hard to install only the software we need for Sunday mornings.
Can anyone recommend the best export settings in quicktime pro so that a movie will work in Windows Media Player?
